I purchased this product after a massage therapist suggested that I get something to loosen up my iliotibial band. It didn't alleviate my problem as I'm still dealing with it, but I can definately feel a difference. I've been rubbing this device along the outside of my thigh for several weeks now and am feeling much less pain and my range of motion is increasing as well. I use this in conjunction with a foam roller and also do IT band stretching exercises. The wooden balls can penetrate where the foam roller cannot but the foam roller covers a wider surface area. I would definately suggest using both if you have IT band syndrome.
Since the device is wooden, you can't put your entire body weight on it.

I ordered this to help relax and stretch out my tired feet. It works pretty well - not amazing, but I can feel a difference after using. Also, sometimes my feet cramp and I've found that this helps get rid of the cramping.

I have been suffering from foot pain from running and cycling for a long time and have been searching for relief. After having been nailed by a hit and run driver in '91 I've had constant pain all along my left leg and foot with the pain in the left foot being the worst. I've been ENJOYING this inexpensive and sturdy device to relieve the pain in my foot. It really helps. It also helps relax some of the other muscles that the accident has caused pain in. This is a great investment and I'm glad I made it. I use it at least once a day and even more if I can. It "should" also aid many other parts (organs) of your system according to reflexology theory. It's also great for massaging the back or even neck with the help of someone else because the sides are also handles. This is one killer low tech device and really is a must have.
If you stand on your feet all day or walk a lot or just want to feel better and more relaxed try this. You really can't go wrong at this price especially if you can get it with free shipping. The "Happy Company" has sure made me happy!
You can put quite a bit of pressure on this but don't expect it to work with your full weight or a couple hundred pounds of pressure. Remember this device is made of wood
